View Full Version : [ubuntu] Why does my WiFi card ONLY work after boot up?

This is really annoying. If I boot my PC up and click on Enable Wireless it connects just fine.

However, if I then disconnect and come back later and try to Enable the little thing just goes round and round without going green and just wont connect. BUT if I reboot I can then connect just fine again. And so it goes on.....

Can someone please help me resolve this?
Thanks

BTW I'm using Hardy and the Wireless card is the BC4318

Its been suggested that I disable the open source Broadcom driver and use ndiswrapper instead and that might resolve my problem.

I have ndiswrapper and the instructions to compile that (I think) but how do I disable the open source Broadcom driver?

Thanks
