Hello all,

This is my first time using ubuntu so apologies if I'm slow on the uptake!

I'm trying to create a new user and login for my partner, from the help pages I believe I'm meant to go System > Administration > Users and Groups then click Add User.

The 'Add User' button is greyed out though, so I can't click it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

A.

Thanks.

I see the unlock button, but it is also grayed out. Which group do I need to add myself to thru the CLI to have access to the gui?

You need to have sudo access. If you set up the system yourself and you are the primary user you should have this available to you.

I.E. You need to have administrator privileges .
