Hi, I'm so new to Ubuntu it hurts. I'm a casual computer user and making the switch from Windows has been an eye opener. I have ZERO programming skills and the Terminal confuses me sometimes. But, eventually I hope to be more comfortable with it and programing. I've had to weed through so much info on the forums the last couple of days its been a bit overwhelming. But worth it!

On to my problem... idea... request?

What I'm trying to do is set up a Pentium III computer as a gaming system for all the classic game systems. My game library is no good sitting in boxes in the attic without a usable system to play them on. So the next best thing is emulation! Right? So I found an old computer that runs and figured I'd turn it into a Multi system emulator system... or add your own riduculous name.

All I want the computer to do is boot and run a Multi System Emulator with their respective roms and that's it! Hopefully with a decent frontend. I won’t be using this computer for anything else. Think SARGSuntu! a Stand Alone Retro Gaming System that plays all those wonderful games from your past!

Trudging through the forums I've found MythTv’s MythGame, The EVO system(which isn’t free), and also have heard whispers of some users working on projects kind of like what I'm talking about. However, I haven’t found anything that’s been released out of those whispers.

If anyone knows of any Distros or projects completed or in development that would be great for Retro gaming let me know. I figure if I get the help I might as well help others too. I’ll try and compile a list as they are found. I’m getting ready for lots of edits!

Thanks!
