Hi, I recently successfully installed Stepmania, and ran it a few times. Later in the day, I ran it, and I got a black screen, only escapable by Alt+Ctrl+Backspace. (The black screen stays even if I quit the program by touch using my memory of the menu) Sound still works, though, as does the keyboard (which is how I quit the game).
The only thing I did between the successful runs of the program and the black-screen runs was install the LSB (Linux Standard Base), install a printer driver, and plug in my dance pad (USB).
Could any of these things be the problem? I need LSB and my printer driver to use my printer (obviously), and my dance pad works on my laptop just fine.
I have tried running the program as root, as well as without the pad, and also with the Visual Effects in System->Preferences->Appearance set to none. None have worked.
Any ideas?
