nwmovies playing in background for Neverwinter Nights

I have successfully installed NWN and the nwmovies, but most in game movies only play in the background. I hear the audio, but the GUI is visiable, instead of the video. The intro movies and credit play as they should, but preface, ending etc don't. Is there anyway to correct this?

Also there's an option "[Display Options] Disable Intro Movies=1" in nwn.ini that should skip the movies that play on startup. This isn't working as it should, is there anyway of making this work correctly?

are you running a ati card?

Anyway, you provided very limited information regarding if you installed a native game or used wine or if compiz is enabled...etc.

The nwn.ini in Linux is set to 8 Voices for 3D and 2D. The Windows Version has 32. So I changed from 8 to 32 and now the Scene I described above sounds much better. The Voices are very low in volume, so they can only barely be heard, but at least the Sounds are played now.

Yes I am using an ATI card, and I am using the native client, not wine. The game plays fine, I have no problems with audio. I have problems with the nwmovies I described in the original post.
