I'm new to ubuntu (just installed it yesterday), so I hope I can start with a stupid question. I have remotely connected to a windows machine using tsclient, in full screen mode. Now I want to go back to my ubuntu desktop, but when I press ctrl+alt+enter, it just flashes for a second and is back to full screen on my windows machine. Now I don't know how to get back without doing a hard reset. I am posting this from the remote machine. Is there a way to close the tsclient application when it is running full screen? And are there any hotkeys or tricks to gain some control in these kinds of situations (something like task manager in windows)? Any help is appreciated!

managed to get it back.. basically press ctrl+alt+enter and ctrl+alt+-> arrow in quick succession until you get the other desktop (might take several tries).

and try the instructions here:

Please post if you have any other useful advice/information.

edit: hold ctrl+alt+enter and press tab to switch apps also works.
