I recall some users using the alternate install cd to have an option to install Ubuntu with essentially whole disk encryption, which can be very handy for laptop, etc. Has anyone tried this on the mini 9 yet?

I'd always thought in the back of my mind to use drive encryption on my next mobile install, but totally slipped my mind when installing/configuring my mini. Just checking to see if anyone's tried it on the SSD yet. I may have to give it a whirl.

the dell ubuntu restore disk copies the install to the hdd one way only.
8.04.1 and 8.10 work on the low power mini9
all the other distros I tried were NG but I did not try ALT install
