Greetings from a newie.

I'm enjoying my new Mini 9, and have been able to customize it to my liking using help from this forum, but... Does anyone know of an easy way to watch my slingbox on my mini? I thought with the release of sling.com I'd be able to "sling" to my browser, but I get an error message saying something along the lines of "wrong OS". I've never used any of the options for running windows apps on Ubuntu, but would that be the way to go?

Thanks for any pointers,
Joe

Why didn't anyone respond to this nicely asked question?

I'm going to try this next week in Linux Mint 7:

I'll try to remember to post here how it went.

There are 2 ways to install slingbox under Ubuntu (using wine).

I have a slingbox classic and have run under Mint along with various versions of Ubuntu including my Mini9.

One way is to go to WineHQ and search for sling.

There are step by step instructions at the bottom of this page.

I did this before I reflashed to Ubuntu 8.10.
It functions pretty good... of course not as good as my desktop

Hope this helps people who may see this.
