Hi everyone,

I just got a new laptop that runs vista.

I wanted to install software that ran perfectly under Xp,
and even Linux ( with Wine support).

Now I need to install it on vista.

When clicking on setup.exe nothing happens.\

I used Xp combatibility mode and I ran as admin

PLEASE HELP

Some applications that ran fine under XP won't run under Vista. Having said that, look for a new version of the program that you are trying to install...maybe there is a Vista version.

There's more than one thing that M$ took out of Vista that's been in every OS since Win95. Mplayer being one of them. Yeah, I found out the hard way when I bought a program that said it was compatible with "XP and above" only to find out Vista wasn't part of their definition. Only thing missing was Mplayer. I even downloaded an Mplayer that wasn't M$ and it still didn't work.
