I installed mythbuntu as my primary opsys on this computer, what do I do next?

I have a Hauppage HVR950, which I managed to get running on an old XP system.

Is there a document I should read?

Do I need to change some system tables?

Do I need to compose some new tables?

Does the front end come up?

Go to setup (the bottom option), then utilities/setup (the bottom option) and then Mythbuntu. Enter your password and the control center (centre) comes up. Setup the backend. If you have schedules direct, it should populate the channels I believe.

Exit out of that and it should fill the database if the computer is on-line.

Look through the other control center options, then exit and the frontend comes back. Go through the setup option menus there, but don't touch anything that you aren't sure about. Exit out of that and manage recordings and pick some things to record. Then watch TV and make sure it is working.

There should be some wiki's or other documentation around on-line someplace.

Mythbuntu is not installed and you have to set it up for your specific system. You should have been given the option during installation to set up the backend with your schedule source and video card.

Im not sure if this card is supported on Linux right not or not. The MythTV wiki doesn't have it shown on their video capture cards (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Video_capture_cards) page.

Also this post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=990185) might be of some help.

YES! There is information all over the place about how to set up and use Mythbuntu and MythTV.
Read the Mythbuntu installation (http://www.mythbuntu.org/installation_manual) manual and the MythTV wiki (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page)

Not really sure what you mean here, but if you are refering to MySQL tables, then no. Mythbuntu should automatically have all tables set up in the server.
