My Dell Mini arrives today, and ideally I'd like to install a fresh Ubuntu 8.10 copy on it, rather than working with whatever Dell has concocted for me. I'm wondering if this is possible - if there are any weird hardware issues or something that will cause headaches.
Thanks.

Atom processor is 32 bits. Better stick with 32 bits Ubuntu.
