View Full Version : [ubuntu] 4gb on 32bit ubuntu live CD wont boot

I love ubuntu and now i use it on daily bases but recently i have upgraded my intel dual core laptop with 4 GB of ram .. my cpu dont support x64 so i am forced to use 32bit system i dont care if it sees the last 700MB of my ram .. vista sees my 4gb but utilize only 3.3 GB thats fine with me but ubuntu live cd dont boot any more and that makes me crazy it was working well on 1 gb now it dont boot on 4 gb wtf i make checksum of life CD all is fine the boot starts but hangs just before X when i make it verbose it just give me an error about framebuffer .. it's not hardware problem as i am writing this from Win Vista that i realy want to leave for ubuntu but i need 4gb on ubuntu for virtaulization and stuff
plz help me

Umm..
Hi, i have the same problem as you..
Im trying to boot from an ubuntu 8.04 live cd..
And it gives me an error and a (initramfs) thing, which i dont know what do to with..

does anyone know how to solve this issue??
