Hi, I have gone through the post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=567111
Currently, I am facing the same problem. I am not able to post in the thread and so am creating a new one.
Openmotif installed in the system is libmotif2 (2.2.3-2) and also motif-clients (2.2.3-2) is installed. Emerald is installed and disabled.
Also tried 'killall compiz' and also used system monitor to kill all compiz processess after using 'metacity --replace'. No luck.
Please help.
