Hi everyone,
First of all, I would like to apologize for being the beginner in this forum. I have browsed for the past day and a half trying to figure out how to hook up my Dell Inspiron mini to my wifi (linksys WRT54GV.3) but to no avail. I don't speak "computerese," to a certain extent, so I feel like a dork. I don't even know if this laptop has a wireless card. Yes, that's how pathetic I am. Luckily, I do know how to get the IP address, I just don't know if it's static or not. BTW, I have also been to the Dell website, they are a bunch of weenies in my opinion, but I will give them a second chance if steered in the right direction. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

in terminal type

lspci (first letter l, not capital i) this will tell you your wireless card, then go to google search and type:

ubuntuforums.org (name and model of your wireless card)
