I use Windows XP for the Internet and want to start using Ubuntu, simply because it is much faster and I prefer its interface. I have used it before, but I cannot connect to the Internet through it. My Ubuntu is 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, and I am trying to connect via AOL. The BT Voyager 105 ADSL USB Modem. I cannot find a way to make Ubuntu use the modem as a device rather than nothing. When booted into XP, there are usually two of the three lights on, Power, and DSL, when connected the Data light will occasionally blink. In Ubuntu, only the power light is on. I could really do with some help, whether that be with packages or Terminal commands. Ubuntu is installed with Wubi, I can access my Windows documents, but not connect to the Internet. Thanks

Thanks, it doesn't really work because, mainly, of AOL. Thanks anyway.
