Hi All -
I am trying to install the latest version of ubuntu which is seemingly straight forward according to the documentation - but running into a resistance.
I use bootcamp to partition my disk, inserted the CD that contained the .iso
I can see the welcome screen, proceeded to install but never got passed that. Ubuntu 8.10 just sits there for a really long time when I chose 'install'. I got further with 8.04 though. I saw Loading Kernel message going to 100%, but then in five minutes it spat out message saying that it couldn't find a drive to mount??
Anybody ran into this issue? I removed --quiete splash by pressing F4 and tried any other boot parameter combinations but to no avail. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.
