Hi,
I installed Kubuntu on VirtualBox on a Windows Vista host, but it seems that after a few restarts it refuses to boot. After having this occur without backups, I then did the following:
1. Install
2. Power off and take a backup of the hard disk VDI
3. Power on and set all my preferences how I want them
4. Power off and take another backup
5. Power on and use
6. Power off when I'm not using it.
7. Power on, and boot errors appear.
At the moment, I'm just restoring the backup from step 4 every time I want to use it. I tried putting the VDI as read-only, but that gives different boot errors.
