HDV capture

OK, I have asked this question in a somewhat beating around the bush way. Simply, is there any software in Ubuntu that can capture HDV (High Def Video) via a 1394 port. Kino was suggested but it cannot capture HDV, so that suggestion is out. Any others??

Try dvgrab from the command line, from the package of the same name.
