I've installed gISO Mount and created a virtual cd from the .iso file i made from the starcraft disc. after installing starcraft from the vcd and trying to play it it tells me that starcraft couldn't read a required file and to make sure the game disc is in the cd drive. i thought gISO Mount was supposed to completely get rid of my dependancy on game discs. What is going on? and what can i do?

With the latest patch, you won't need the CD. Get it here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21149&rhtml=true?rhtml=y

I believe once you install the latest offical patch, you just need to copy Install.exe from both CD's and rename them to StarCraft.mpq Broodwar.mpq respectively.
But if you want to mount the ISOs instead, type "winecfg" in a terminal, go to the "Drives" tab, and add your ISO's mount point (or modify the existing cd-rom's entry).

ok, and one more thing. at one point in time Starcraft wasn't really working optimally on my system so i uninstalled it. i realized that this does not remove it from the wine programs list so i went to edit menus and removed it from the menu that way. the problem is that now that i want starcraft it doesn't show up on the wine programs list anymore. how can i get it back there so i don't have to brows the cd and run setup.exe with wine manually.
