kinda reminds me on this -->
A Scottish teen spent the past six months helping Microsoft fix a hole in Windows and in return got squat.

Nineteen-year-old IT pro Matt Thompson played software Good Samaritan when he found an error in Redmond's Jet Database Engine while working for a client of his employer, Aberdeen IT.

Thompson swapped code with the behemoth for months, helping them remedy a bug in which a hacker could get complete control over an affected system. For his trouble and diligence, all Thompson got was a lame one-sentence thank you on Microsoft's Web site - not even a lousy Xbox.

According to the BBC, "Mr. Thompson said that he initially had difficulty convincing Microsoft it had a problem." Welcome to the club, kid.

We'll see the how the level of innovation in there compares to Google's "Summer Of Code", from which lots of projects including Ubuntu greatly benefited. And probably just laugh.

I remember reading about some 9 year old girl in India who loves computers and made some kick *** program and the devil err... I mean Gates himself came down to talk to her and how she said that her life long dream was to work for MS. Where were the parents at when that happened?!

Ida punished my kid if he/she wanted to work for MS (unless it was for the purpose of destroying them from the inside)
