Installed Intrepid from DVD with Gnome and KDE-desktop.
Booting into Gnome gives me my wireless connection.
If I boot into KDE wireless fails.
If I change to Gnome, my wireless comes to live and I can go back to KDE (my favorite desktop, with internet connection.

Problem solved by installation of KNetworkmanager:)

Wireless setup is much improved since Ubuntu-8.04, but I don't understand why KNetworkmanager is not installed by default in case of KDE installation!
Is Gnome the preferred desktop?
