Hi all,

Seasons Greetings. :)

I initially installed VB 2.1.0 via this thread below:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6393900&postcount=1

I had some shutdown problems (system freezing) that may have not been related to my VB install but have since re-imaged to a state prior to my VB install.

Is the above link the best way to install 2.1.0 on Intrepid or is there a better way? I was running XP as a guest on Intrepid but am still pretty new to Ubuntu/Linux.

Thanks all.

i don't know about the link you posted, i just got the deb from vb's site

http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

before trying to install vb' you may want to undo what was done' especially if something broke.

edit: hmm it is the same setup, did you get any errors ?

Thanks for responding. Yeah, as I said, I have re-imaged using Acronis to an earlier state so my Intrepid is now VB free. All seems to be working fine now. With the install from the link you provided, do I just add that deb link to my sources file and then proceed with the install?

What about the info on that page you gave about the sun public key etc? I'm not sure what that is.
