Has anybody else noticed this? When I booted up this morning (11.1) my grub theme had changed from the Green OpenSUSE one to a Christmas one with penguins wearing Christmas hats and snow above the selection box.

I saw it too! You got it from using the one click install for codecs. It is not permanent, so don't worry about that. Merry Christmas!

What?? That theme is from the file /boot/message from the package gfxboot-branding-openSUSE-4.1.19-2.1... it's there by default, and isn't the first openSUSE version to include it.

Never noticed it last year (Was running 10.3). I haven't installed any codecs yet this was a fresh install that I did last night. No Changes at all.

I'm not worried about it, I like it nice to show the Christmas Spirit!:)

So it came in the distro by default? I was a bit worried that OpenSuSE was downloading packages w/o me telling it to.

Yep, they do this every year. Mine went back to normal a few days ago, but it was nice to show some Christmas spirit by the opensuse guys.
