Hello,
I am using 8.04 / 64 on AMD Athlon X2 64 4200 CPU. I want to spread my video files on LAN and watch them (with web interface, port 8080). The other side of the LAN, the machines which collect the video files, could only work with mpeg2 formats. I am using vlc media player 0.8.6e for this. First, vlc player converts and then spread them. I could see the films from LAN but could not hear. I could hear them with vlc on the main PC but not from the LAN. When i am working on windows xp and vlc player there is no audio video problem, so there is no hardware problem. But xp performance is so slow to broadcast. I want to spread my video files via Linux with the sound. Is it related with the codecs? Could not vlc player convert the audios to mpeg2? But it is happening mpeg2 video files with the audio again. So i do not think that the problem is related with the codecs. I want to read your advice. Thanks for your attentions.
