k3b won't update in gnome

I am running Ubuntu 8.0.4 with a Gnome desktop. I have k3b 1.0.4-2 installed. Synaptic shows that vs. 1.0.5-1 is available. My Update Manager is constantly telling me the new version needs to be downloaded, but for some reason it is grayed out and I can't select it.

Can someone give me a hint as to what may be wrong? Thx.
