So I downloaded the latests copy of SuSE because it's been a few years and I feel like playing around with it to see what's new. I loaded the DVD iso into Virtualbox as a CD/DVD drive (mounted the iso) and boot it up. I see the "Welcome" with a few different languages, and then the menu that asks if you want to boot from the hard drive, or if you want to install and some other things.

When I select Install, the screen goes solid black, stays that way for about 20 or 30 seconds, and then Virtualbox pops up a message saying there's been a severe error. Has this happened to anyone else?

Proprietary version 1.6.6

VirtualBox 2.1 is out in the meantime. Maybe that'll work better.
