Why is Ubuntu not releasing wireless driver along with OS. I am pleased with Ubuntu. The only problem I am facing is installation of wireless lan on my laptop. I need to do it by downloading ndiswrapper etc....Since two days I have been struggling following the wiki pages of ubuntu, still no result. Every time I install freshly it is the same case. How to get Ubuntu OS along with wireless driver.

Reportedly Ubuntu 8.10 has more support for wireless than 8.04.
That said the easiest path to getting wireless to work is to read the Sticky at the top of the first page of this networking subforum and see which ones work and buy that model.
