[SOLVED] Cannot connect to Battle.net in Warcraft 3

Yeah, I pretty much have one of the 2 problems everybody else has: it waits a few seconds before saying it can't connect to BNet.

I know WINE hasn't officially fixed this probelm yet, but I'm impatient XD

Any ideas? I'm running whatever was the newest version of 1.x on 12/19/08.

In this forum there are a ton of threads devoted to this topic, any particular reason to start another one?

Someone posted up his PPA for a patched Wine which allows you to host and join BNet games. Please search for it using the 'Search' tab.

I started a new thread because searching for others got me nowhere. Could I please have a link to this topic you're talking about?

EDIT: If you mean this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=795714&highlight=warcraft+battle.net+ppa), I've already seen it and I'm not so keen on trusting a guide for Hardy... Wait. Oh! XD I was thinking Hardy was 7.10 but I just remembered it IS 8.04. Alright, I'll try it.
