Wine will not reinstall a program

I am using 8.10 with the latest wine.

When I click on a setup file for a program I have had running previous to reinstalling 8.10, I get an error message:

Setup was unable to create the directory "c:\windows\js-jwhu.tmp"

error 3: path not found.


Are there any solutions to this?

I could be wrong here, but it sounds like when you upgraded to 8.10 some of the file names got renamed. I'd try re installing WINE and giving it another go.

That idea did not work. I completely removed wine and then installed it. Same error report arises. I wondered if it is a file permision issue but looking at the content of /home/.wine I am shown as the owner with full write rights.
