Read only FileSystem

Hey all,

How can I mount a file system from an old mac without it defaulting to read only. I can not access my directories because permission is denied. dont CHMOD, CHOWN, and root user browsing with not success.

the hard drive i am trying to mount is an HFS+ file system... if that helps

i solved my problem. booted into a hackintosh cd image... opend disk utility... repaired permissions. I also did some terminal work (chmod, etc)

Works great now.
