Because Ubuntu is a generally lightweight OS, I think it would be nice, for someone with the right skills, to produce an Ubuntu windows application, running Ubuntu - installed with a file or a folder as the hard drive - right in Windows XP/Vista.
Like VirtualBox, but only Ubuntu (perhaps Kubuntu, Edubuntu, ect. versions in the future) and no setup needed.
Would this be possible?

Lookup AndLinux (http://www.andlinux.org/). This sounds exactly like what you are talking about. Additionally, it isnt that hard to set up Ubuntu in a Virtual Box. AndLinux is a fun project and I ran it when I still ran Windows. Gives you all the programs and functionality of Ubuntu without its interface right inside of Windows.

Woah, I didn't know someone had done this.
Awesome.
Although to be honest, I didn't know how to search for it, as everything I could think of came up with results for apps that run IN Ubuntu.
