Battlefield 2142 - punkbuster errors

I have successfully installed the game Battlefield 2142 using Wine. I am able to play singleplayer but when i join a multiplayer server i get kicked by punkbuster for "Dissalowed Program/driver Code [125096]"

Does anyone know how to fix this?
(Im also using the 1.50 patch, if thats any help)


Another thing: The mouse doesnt show up until im actually playing ingame...it still works...but its really annoying, is there a wine patch or something for this?

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but it really isnt possible for you to play bf2142 multiplayer on linux. I do not know how to fix the problems. I got the game to work on my ubuntu 8.04 and could play with low graphics, but as soon as you enter a multiplayer game i was kicked eventually by punkbuster. I asked punkbuster if they had a punkbuster client for ubuntu that would support bf2142 and they told me that they didnt support it because i was running bf2142 in wine, calling it an emulator. So basically i would recomend dual booting with xp or vista so that you can game. Try visiting the Wine HQ page on bf2142. They might have fixes for your missing cursor. i do not know how to install them though. Here is a link to the Wine HQ page:
