You haven't offended anyone. This part of the forum is for MSFT based software. If this was an Ubuntu only forum why is there an "Other OS talk" part of the forum? A lot of us dual, or even, like myself, triple boot. Trust me, this forum gives better, faster, and more knowledgeable advise on all things computer than most any other forum. That is what makes this community so great.
Yes, Vista is DX 10, but you can also install DX 9.0 for older games that require it.

Thank you for the reply! dual booting sounds complicated. can you do that with vista & ubuntu ?. You sound vary intelligent and open minded on your blog. I consider that unique and cool of a person

It's no big deal. The same steps you take with a WinXP/Ubuntu dual boot are the same you take for a Vista/Ubuntu. I'll post how to triple boot a Vista/Ubuntu/Fedora system soon.

thanks! for the info. I am running Virtual Box OSE in ubuntu 8.04. in Virtual Box I am running Open Suse 10.03 OS but i am planing to run Fedora 8 on Virtual Box as will. I am some what intimidated by duel booting OS's. because I due not wont to crash my PC. my first OS was a windows xp home and it crash due to registry errors i tried to recover it but no lock there. that is when I found out about Open source and Linux
