I am reinstalling an operating system on an older computer. The system has run well on 8.04 before. However, this time is it as though the normal server is down. Does anyone know a secondary server I can try to get the required updates? Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can select a different server via the menus System, Administration, Software Sources, click 'Download from,' 'other,' 'Select best server.'
