How can I play Descent 3 in Ubuntu?

Can Descent 3 be lpayed in Ubuntu ? I saw a patch for linux at a D3 site and it said a full version D3 was required to play. Do I need to buy a Linux version of D3 - if there is one ? Please help. Thanks

There was a full version of Descent 3, but it's been discontinued. Maybe you might get lucky & find a copy for Linux on eBay?
