modify nautilus places list?

Need help to modify nautilus places list.
It shows bunch of useless, for me, shortcuts by default, such as Network, SmartMedia Drive, SD/MMC Drive, etc.
Is it possible to modify the places list?

i too am wondering about this..

connecting to my ftp's using Places/connect to server and then bookmarking those places, puts all of my folders (documents, downloads, music, pictures and videos) except home into a places/bookmarks folder which makes me navigate more and slows me down. i dont like it.

I'd like to keep places default with new bookmark entries just listed at the bottom or something as i dont have but 2 that would need to go there..

i havnt figured out a way yet. :(
