This has always been the case. There are no protections on the wiki for keeping the riff-raff out. Look at almost any vandalized page, and you'll see an endless back-and-forth series of vandalism and Carl Richell clearing it out.

CAPTCHAs for new-user creation might be a good idea for that site, even though they're not bullet-proof.

I just noticed that on the first page of your Wiki:

The "System76 Forum" link on the left hand side points to the old, archived, read only forum.
