Directv wants to upgrade my recever

Directv wants to upgrade my receivers so I can get local channels. The idiots on the phone have no concept of mythtv or even stand alone tivo for that matter. So they are sending two DVR's. Won't that completely mess up my recording programs?

If the directv dvr pauses to buffer and the mythtv pauses to buffer won't that mess things up?

Anyone have a latest and greatest model number to see even if I can control it with lirc?

After two hours on the phone with dtv, I just want to throw up.

I use H20's with a serial cable to change the channels, works great and I get locals. I just need a HDPVR now so I can capture HD.
