View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Network Manager refuses to connect - 8.10

As of... well, just today really, my Ubuntu 8.10 machine refuses to connect to our open WLAN access point. It gets up to "requesting IP address" then after a minute or so says it "disconnected".

This happens much much slower than normal, and the Fedora 10 LiveCD which I'm using now connects perfectly, as well as my PSP, so it's a problem with Ubuntu.

This just started out of the blue, I didn't make any changes or do anything strange. Well, I did install Enlightenment, but that was a few days and many reboots before this started.

Any ideas?

Bimpy bump, if nobody answers I'll reboot in 5 minutes and wipe the config files.

EDIT: OK, rebooting now. I'll post back with the results... *crosses fingers*

EDIT 2: Wow, I just rebooted and it was all fine in Ubuntu. That's... very strange. Ah well, can't complain :D
