Hi there, I have just installed intrepid from the live disk inside Windows XP to a partition on my hard drive. When I rebooted and selected Ubuntu 8.10 it loaded into a black screen. If I use the uninstall file in the Ubuntu folder and delete the two wubi files will it remove the boot loader as well, so that I can boot straight into Windows Xp? samsung72

have a look at this thread, should help you.

You will have to fix the boot loader with EasyBCD

Hi there, I used the uninstall option in the Ubuntu folder and it removed Ubuntu 8.10 and the two Wubi files and the bootloader as well, leaving the computer as it was before.

I don't think Ubuntu 8.10 likes my computer.:-) samsung72
