Rebooted my machine this morning and Kaffeine seems to have disappeared somewhere. I have looked for it everywhere, even re-installed and still no joy. I had thought to try myth tv (having seen it work) but fail to get it to work at all. I realise this is due to layer 8 failure(ME!) but please help.

I'm told it is not installed, and yet when i try to install it tells me I have the latest copy. What to do?

You didn't mention whether your using ubuntu or kubuntu, anyway the executable would be in /usr/bin, I assuming you looked?

What happens if you try to remove either from cli or from your package manager?

sudo apt-get purge kaffeine
