No sound

Sound worked in Xubuntu 8.10, but not in Gnome after I installed ubuntu-desktop (no recommended packages). I guess it is some pulseaudio issue since Xubuntu does not use pulseaudio.

There area lot of problems with pulsaudio in 8.10. Search in forum(or google) - there is posts about how to remove it to solve the problme

Restarting ubuntu helped. (I installed also pulseaudio* from recommends, but I guess that did not fix it.)
