Funny thing happened. I have a PC running Ubuntu, pppoe works fine. On my laptop, when I try to configure it I get: Access Concentrator of your provider did not respond. 100% sure my provider is OK, my computer is OK, it's definitely something with Ubuntu. 2 hours ago I had Xubuntu and the pppoe was fine.

I searched the web, including these forums for a solution. Tried a couple of suggestions, but nothing worked. I ended up reading a huge thread here about that for like 30 minutes but there was no answer to my question. It always goes like this: some newbie asks, an 'expert' replies. 'Expert' wants info, ifconfigs and stuff, acts like he knows what he is doing and then suddenly disappears. SO, IS THERE ANYONE, WHO DID OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM?

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, So did that guy who posted right above this solve the problem or did you just disappear too?

I think people (like you) just got fed up and uninstalled Ubuntu, because there is no fix for this problem! :D
