psi 0.9.3-2ubuntu1 is included in breezy, but I'd love to see this backported to hoary. Psi is a cross-platform jabber client. 0.9.3 includes several new features over 0.9.2 including typing notification among other things (http://psi-im.org/psi.affinix.com/?page=changelog). I imagine this would be an easy backport since I doubt there many new dependencies between 0.9.2 and 0.9.3. I could be mistaken though having not tried it myself yet.
