Multi Monitor setup help.

Just installed Ubuntu and ran updates all seems good, but this is my 1st try on a non windows box so bear with me.

Is it possible to make Ubunta reconize my dual video cards as I had in Vista. I ran 4 monitors and was able to have 4 seperate apps up at once, any help is appreaciated on how to do this..

Let me clarify the issue some.
I have 2 nvida cards one a gts 8800 and 1 a gts8600 I messed with some settings and now have screen 1 & 2 on, cannot get screen 3 & 4 on nor can screens 1&2 use different apps.

How and what file do I ned to get and present here?
