Hi

Using the sudo nvidia-settings GUI I easily managed to get a picture on the TV for my veiwing pleasure but the problem is my TV is a hunk of junk and can only display at 50 Hertz. The nvidia GUI states that it is displaying TV out at 60 Hertz and does not give an option to change this.

All my findings from searching the web pre date the GUI and the .conf files that I am told to amend in these fixes look nothing like the one I have now.

My question is has anybody managed to change the TV out refresh rate using the Nvidia GUI?

My card is a geforce 5200.

Thanks a lot for any help and feel free to burn me to hell if this is a newbie question answered a million times elsewhere.

May I just add that via a previous life in a Windows box the graphics card worked fine with the TV

usually those settings show up in the gui manager. you can always add the refresh rate to your tv in your xorg file.
