View Full Version : [ubuntu] help me get on disk

i am trying to use a live cd of ubuntu to try. i have d/l it and i have tried to put on a disk so i can do a reboot with it but i am unable to put on a cd or dvd i have tried infrarecord says it is sucessful but when i put it back in to check it, it says it is still blank. i can look at the disk and see that i has something burnt onto it. any help please. (i am using vista)

When you view the contents of the CD, how many files are there?

You have to burn it as an image not a file.

vista makes some incompatible burns what i recommend is using a program to burn the iso to your flashdrive from windows xp. Even a 1gb flash drive will do. Hope this helps somewhat.

That "one file" should have an extension .iso file, which is an image file. :p
