I am using Ubuntu for quite sometime now, and I found that I do not need my XP anymore but for the Macromedia Flash that I have. So I was just wondering if I could get a free swf creator that will support AS2.

This is the only reason why I have to stick with XP(Another reason could be games, but I don't mind loosing them).

Some older versions of Flash work in Wine, check to see if the version you want is supported here (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=23). "Platinum" means the application works flawlessly, gold means it works with a little messing about or has a few bugs, silver means there's more bugs etc.

Amazing, You are so beatiful. I don't know how it works, but IT DOES. I have macromedia Flash 8 and wine supports it. This is really cool.

And whats this C:\ in which it installs the software?
And is it safe now for me to uninstall windows( I can use that drive to store data rather than an OS that I won't use)

Wine "simulates", emulates a windows environment, so it creates a pseudo C: drive like in Windows.

And is it safe now for me to uninstall windowsOnly you can decide..

If everything is working fine on Ubuntu, and you say you do not need a second OS as sheet anchor... let's rock.
