i had been trying to install Openoffice 3 for quite a while. Yesterday while trying out something i noticed that my turn off and restart option have vanished. Only Lock Screen and Log out option are available.

Please let me know how bring them back.

In system > administration > login window > local tab: tick 'show actions menu'.

not absolutely sure as to what i was doing.
but i was removing the packages of open office 2.4.
so a lot of other packages also got removed.
that included rythmbox music player, text editor and some other stuff as well. have been able to recover them as i could go through add/remove programs.

however in this case i dont know the name of the package which runs the turn off or restart buttons. so i can't bring them back.

it would be very helpful if someone just told me the name of the packages. i can get it back using synaptic package manager.
