I'm trying to figure out how to input Japanese characters on the console (ie when I do ctrl-alt-F2).
I've been using fbiterm, and I'm able to get Japanese input on the console when running emacs, but not on the console itself.
Moreover, the "hankaku/zenkaku" key (the key on a Japanese keyboard that is used to switch between roman/Japanese input methods) has become entirely unresponsive. I have the gtk version of emacs set up to use the "hankaku/zenkaku" key to switch input methods, but on the console I have to use a different method (I used M-]).
Google's not being very helpful to me. And there's no man page for fbiterm!
